Beyond the Pandemic - The Hybrid Workforce 2022
Duration: 6 hours
Overview: The state continues transitioning to a hybrid workforce away from emergency telework. The pandemic and the state’s swift move to telework set in motion the start of a profound change in how state executives will manage their department’s work and lead their employees. This change may turn out to be the most significant workplace shift many of us will face in our careers. Unifying this hybrid workforce while keeping performance high will require focusing on the work employees do and not where they do it.
For Managers, Supervisors, and CEA’s, completion of this entire six-hour course may be applied to the Continual Leadership Training and Development requirements. While this training is intended for those in leadership roles, we have opened the course to all state employees for their information and development needs.
Objectives: Upon completion of this course, participants will be better prepared to:

- The curriculum is drawn from top-requested training topics from GovOps/CalHR surveys, Telework Working Group survey and questionnaires.
- Online interactive guided training sessions, with questions and check-in points that focus on skills and approaches for managing a hybrid team.

Facilitate Leadership in a Virtual World
Duration: 2 days
Overview:State agencies are seeing rapid change in today’s digital era and the traditional transactional leadership style is fast being replaced with a more facilitative approach. Facilitative leaders use accomplished interpersonal skills and cutting-edge virtual management techniques to lead, motivate and create a positive work culture. The result is an engaged workforce that’s empowered to innovate and help shape an agency’s future success. This course will leverage the latest research on leading virtually, neuroscience, and a five-year research study at Google to propel you to the forefront of 21st Century Leaders.
